I want parents that don’t claim they know everything.
I want parents who want to know more about me than just how my grades are.
I want parents that are accepting.
I want parents who don’t make me feel like I need to stay in my room all the time.
I want parents that are repulsed by physical, emotional, mental, and sexual abuse.
I want parents who are understanding.
I want parents that aren’t sexist.
I want parents that accept that I will never be their clone.
I want parents who know that nobody’s perfect.
I want parents that I can trust.
I want parents that don’t make being at home a nightmare.
Is this too much to ask for?
